In the middle of B.C.'s "Crown Land" (which means government land that is open to public use and logging -- i.e., not a forest preserve), after traversing roads that only a 4x4 with a winch can traverse, I came across these guys who were staying the night in a log cabin on the lake.  (They would only drink Canadian beer, eh.)
