During certain times of the year the whaleshark migration is in full swing, and they come to the Sea of Cortez to feed as they make their way south.  Under certain conditions it is possible to go snorkeling right next to these giant creatures, which to some can be a religious experience.  (There's little danger; these whalesharks have no teeth and feed only on plankton.)
