This was one of many candlelight vigils and vast displays of patriotism a few days after the September 11, 2001 World Trade Center bombing. Crowds on Sunset Blvd waved flags and encouraged passers-by to honk if they love America; teenagers were selling flags and donating the proceeds to the rescue workers and victims of the terrorism.
