The classic Lunenbnerg Academy (built in 1894) started out as an elementary and high school building, and is a rare surviving example of Nova Scotia's 19th Century Academy system of secondary education.  (More on this building can be learned at http://www.lunenburgns.com/main-attractions/lunenburg-academy.html.)
